Students who fail a GRHS course with a 50%-59% have the opportunity to make up the credits via approved summer school or correspondence courses. Students who pass their approved credit recovery course will receive the grade they received from summer school (or the company) on their transcript and the number of credits the failed GRHS course was worth. The student can then continue on to the next course in the subject sequence at GRHS. However, the credit recovery grade does not go into their GRHS GPA. Students who do not pass their credit recovery course will retake the course they failed at GRHS. The failed recovery attempt would also go on their transcript, but will also not go into their GPA.
