CURRICULUM

Curriculum defines the content to be learned and skills to be mastered by students.  Teachers and administrators began revising the district's curriculum documents in fall 2007.  The work will continue thoughout the 07/08 school year. 

Once finalized by the school committee, new curriculum documents will be posted on this web page in the following categories:

 

Vertical Articulation  - shows the flow of what students will learn at each grade level and in each subject and ensures that there are no gaps or unplanned overlaps from grade to grade.
 

  
 

Scope and Sequence - identifies the breadth and depth of what students will learn and identifies connections among curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments.

 
 

Philosophy - explains how each subject fulfills the district's mission statement and names the guiding principles for each subject.
