Curriculum, instruction, and assessment form the learning foundation for students.  All three are seamlessly connected in the classroom.   The curriculum defines what students will learn.  Instruction provides opportunities designed by teachers to help students learn.  Assessment shows what learning is occurring and teachers use information from assessments to adjust instruction to the learning needs of students.
