Littleville celebrates American Education Week

Huntington- Principal Joanne Blocker has announced a special project in honor of American Education Week, November 12 – 18.

Her school is making a book entitled “What I Like Best About My School”.  Each student will have a page to write; they will all be collected and bound into a book that will be shared with visitors in the school foyer.

Mrs. Henson, the Littleville Art Teacher, will also be working with the Principal and all interested second graders that week in an afterschool author’s study.  This is a popular annual event, allowing second graders special time with their Principal.  This year’s author is Eric Carle. 

American Education Week is sponsored by the National Education Association, and additional information can be found on their website http://www.nea.org/aew/index.html .  This year’s theme is “Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility.”
