Public Invited to Pandemic Flu Presentation

Huntington- The Massachusetts Department of Public Health will be giving a presentation on Pandemic Flu on Wednesday, November 1st from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Gateway Performing Arts Center at the Middle/High School.

This event is open to the public at no cost.

The presentation will explain what a pandemic is and describe those that have occurred in the last 100 years. It will also look at the phases of response to a pandemic and how best to prepare in advance, as well as protect yourself during a pandemic outbreak. 

Businesses, towns and schools are encouraged to create a Continuity Of Operations Plan (COOP), to sustain their activities to the greatest degree possible, when many people are out sick.

This presentation is designed to be helpful and informative for families, small business owners, public health officials, medical staff, volunteers, public safety workers, town government leaders, and anyone else who is interested!
