Preschool Screening for Gateway children

Huntington – The Gateway Regional School District is offering a developmental screening for all 3 and 4 year old children in the district.  This screening is conducted to identify where children are in their developmental growth, as well as to look at any concerns or questions that parents may have about their child’s development.

Preschool screening will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007 from 8 – 11:30 a.m. at Littleville Elementary School in Huntington.  Children must be age 3 by the screening date. Screenings are by appointment, and parents should call the Pupil Services Department at 685-1017 by March 30th to schedule an appointment. 

Screenings include a brief check of skills in the following areas of development: Cognitive/Thinking skills, speech and language skills, fine and gross motor skills, social/emotional skills, vision, and hearing.
