What is the purpose of student council?
The purpose of Student Council is to legislate positive change and to promote school spirit.

What are Student Council's goals?

The constitution that was approved a few years ago says: "The purpose of this body is to promote communication between students, faculty, and administration. This board is required to protect, uphold, and expand the rights and privileges of all students who attend Gateway Regional High School. This body is encouraged to promote general school pride and spirit. Finally, this body is charged with the responsibility of informing the administration, faculty, and school committee of any concerns or problems students may have." Article II Section 1

Where does Student Council get its money from?

Right now it is probably more then 90% of the money we have is from the Student Store.

What do you do to become a member?

Members are elected by their classmates - four members per grade with one alternate.

What are the positions in Student Council?

Student council has four positions:
President-Sarah H.
Vice president-Alyssa H.
Secretary-Lydia L.
Treasurer- Hannah L.
Advisors- Ms Diane Uliana, Ms Jean Garriepy, Ms Pauline McCarthy
