The Languge of Tech Prep

Tech Prep Pathway

Articulation

Tech Prep is a sequence of studies beginning in the junior year of high school and continuing through at least two years of post-secondary education. The program parallels the college prep course of general education by preparing students for high-skill occupations. After completion of academic and technical programs in high school, Tech Prep students continue their education at a two-year college to acquire an associates degree. Students may opt to matriculate to a four-year college or gain full-time employment in their chosen fields.

Tech Prep offers students a learning experience that fosters personal confidence and self-esteem. Students choose from a list of specific courses that allow them to discover and develop their talents in a career field. Students also have a head start in related degree programs should they choose to continue their education. All Tech Prep courses are activity based with high standards that emphasize applied academics, critical thinking and problem solving techniques related to the real world. Tech prep is unlike any program offered in our area.
