Third graders have written homework 2-3 times a week.   Assignments will be written

in homework folders.  Homework folders are expected to be with students EVERYDAY.
The homework is an extension, reinforcement,
or review of what has been taught in the classroom. 
Written homework is expected to be completed and returned the following day.
In addition, 3rd graders are expected to read 15-30 minutes every night. 
They may borrow books from the classroom library, school library, or read books/magazines from home.
