Block 1 : Geometry Advanced

You will find geometry different from other math classes that you have taken.  In this class, you will learn to combine reason and proof to solve many problems.  Proofs may seem a little  difficult for a while but with reasonable effort and patience, your skill in forging a chain of reason will improve and you will appreciate the use of logic in mathematics as well as daily life.  We will learn more about the relationships of many figures.  Geometry will give you a visual meaning to arithmetic and algebra.  It will be challenging and useful - engineers, architects, painters, carpenters, and teachers are only a few of the people who use geometry in their daily lives.  As advanced students you can expect to move through the material a little more quickly and to answer qustions in more depth.
