Number Sense and Operations

You use numbers everyday in just about everything you do.

Try to make a batch of cookies without using any numbers or measurements.  Chanees are your cookies might not come out looking or tasting like cookies should.  How would you go about serving eight people equal pieces of the pumpkin pie that you made for dessert?  How do your parents know the right dose of medicine to give you when you are sick?

Numbers are essential in our daily living.  We can't live without them!  In this math section, you will use numbers in several important ways.  You will compare, add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.  You will also work that contain parts or fractions of numbers.  You will also work with mixed numbers and decimals.  Welcome to the wonderful world of numbers!
