Quadrilaterals Review Page

No, they are not "quads"!  You know, those four-wheel things. And interestingly enough, "quads" and quadrilaterals both have four of something. Quads have 4 wheels and quadrilaterals have 4 sides.

Quadrilaterals are are 4 sided polygons.  Quadrilaterals are closed figures.  They are just as cool as those "four  wheelers" because they come in various shapes, sizes, and colors.  They are everywhere in our world.

The other really cool thing about quadrilaterals is that they have different properties that set them apart from each other.

Here are just some quadrilateral properties and types for you to review:

congruent:  The same shape and size.

parallelogram:  A four-sided polygon, quadrilateral, with opposite sides equal and parallel.

polygon:  A closed figure having straight sides.

rectangle:  A four-sided polygon, quadrilateral, with opposite sides equal and all angles are right angles.

rhombus:  A parallelogram having all four sides equal and opposite angles equal.

square:  A four sided polygon, quadrilateral, with all sides equal and all angles are right angles.

These are just some of the really cool types and properties of quadrilaterals. Are you ready for some more "quadrilateral" fun?
