In Third Grade, the students learn how our country came to be. Who were the European explorers, where did they come from and why? Where did the Europeans first settle when they came to North America, who was here when they got here, how did they get along. From Plymouth Colony, to the founding of the 13 Colonies, through the Revolutionary War, we see how it all started.

   We also learn about the history of Massachusetts in general and Chester in particular, as well as about maps, globes and timelines.
