The inverse relationship of adding and subtracting to help solve problems

Add and Subtract whole numbers and decimals; multiply and divide(with double digit divisors) using whole numbers and decimals.

Working in place value we tried some Expanded Notation! This requires breaking down the number into expanded form first, then into powers of ten. Students were given three numbers to try as homework:
