4. InterMath is a professional development effort designed to support teachers in becoming better mathematics educators. It focuses on building teachers' mathematical content knowledge through mathematical investigations that are supported by technology. InterMath includes a workshop component as well as an ongoing support community that includes a lesson plan database and a discussion board. InterMath is a collaborative effort between the University of Georgia, CEISMC - Georgia Institute of Techology, and regional technology centers in the state of Georgia. The development of InterMath is funded by the National Science Foundation. InterMath
