-Each tutorial opens in a new Quicktime player to enable you to follow along. -For anything that uses webpages or is web-based, use a web-browser like Safari, Netscape, or Mozilla Firefox. -You can fast-forward, rewind, and pause the movies. Spacebar is the hotkey for pause. -Each movie is narrated so that it's possible to take notes or to do the action as they are being described. -A broadband connection or better is suggested if you are off-campus. -If you find that the movies start too soon after being opened, you can change the wait time by opening quicktime, then under "Quicktime Player" go to "Quicktime Preferences." From there, click on the "Streaming" tab and either de-select "Instant-On" which will stop the movies from automatically playing, or move the slider right or left to choose more or less of a delay. -Some videos contain sensitive information to our network and therefore will be only accessible via the internal Gateway network. -If you use Safari to browse the tutorials, the qtl file used to play the movies will download to your desktop. That way, you have a local 'copy.' Using other browsers you will have to do it manually.
