Gov Baker closes MA schools until May 4th

This afternoon, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that all Massachusetts public schools are to remain closed until May 4th to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus / COVID-19. Gateway must comply with this order, but will continue to serve the needs of our students and our community by providing free pickup lunches, educational enrichment activities, and guidance on health resources to the greatest extent possible.

We know this has been a very challenging time already, and that many families may be feeling overwhelmed, but know that we are here for you and we are in this together throughout. Gateway staff, teachers, and administrators will continue working diligently to support our students and their families in any ways possible. We will be in touch again shortly with more details as we meet and plan with our staff and as we receive additional guidance from the state. Stay safe!

(And if you'd like to see what some families, students, and staff have been up to so far this last week, take a look at our new photo gallery "Gateway Works from Home" on the grsd.org website.)
