Gateway Regional High School
A panel of visiting educators was at Gateway from Sunday Oct 18 through Wednesday, Oct 31 for the decennial accreditation visit for Gateway Regional High School through NEASC, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
Panelists are meeting with students, parents, staff, school committee members and administrators to evaluate the high school across a number of standards, including: core values, beliefs and learning expectations; curriculum; instruction; assessment of and for student learning; school culture and leadership; school resources for learning; and community resources for learning.
Accreditation is designed to assure that students are receiving a high quality education and that their school engages in ongoing efforts to improve. It also assures local citizens and taxpayers that their funding supports worthwhile programs and provides guidance for long-term improvements.
Additional information will be released to the public when the results of the evaluation are given to the school later in the school year.
