Health Services

Welcome to Gateway's Health Services Department

The Health Services Department is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of every student, so they can fully participate in all aspects of school life. Our goal is to create a safe and healthy environment that promotes academic success, physical wellness, and emotional growth.

Our school nurses are licensed healthcare professionals who play a vital role in the daily life of our school community. School nurses provide a wide range of services, including:

  • Health assessments and screenings (such as vision, hearing, BMI, and postural screenings)

  • Management of chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes, and severe allergies

  • First aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses during the school day

  • Medication administration in accordance with state regulations and individual healthcare plans

  • Health education and wellness promotion for students and families

  • Collaboration with families, teachers, and healthcare providers to support each student’s unique needs

Our nurses are committed to ensuring that every child is healthy, safe, and ready to learn each day. We encourage families to reach out to the Health Office with any questions or to discuss individual health concerns.
