Volunteers are an important part of student achievement!
There are many ways to help support Gateway students, including:
- staffing an elementary school library;
- serving on a committee;
- serving on a school council;
- tutoring students;
- fundraising with PTO's, booster clubs or the Gateway Education Foundation;
- chaperoning field trips.
Volunteer procedures are outlined in the 2017-2018 Volunteer Handbook. Volunteers must sign the Volunteer Agreement (located in the handbook) annually. You may print it out, sign it and return it to your school's secretary. Volunteers who will be working directly with students (such as library volunteers, chaperones, etc.) must have a CORI approved every 3 years with the district.
Individual teachers will announce the need for parent/guardian chaperones throughout the school year. For more information about other volunteer opportunities, please contact:
