SCHOOL COMMITTEE: The Gateway Regional School Committee will hold their next meeting Wednesday, February 5 at 7:00pm in MS 112/114. Members of the public, parents, and students are welcome. Catch up on recent meeting minutes here on the GRSD website.
100TH DAY OF SCHOOL: Elementary school students dressed up as 100-year-old versions of themselves to celebrate the 100th day of school, which fell on Feb 5.
HS STUDENTS PERFORM AT MMEA DISTRICTS: Five Gateway High School students showcased their musical talents at the annual MA Music Educators' Association (MMEA) Western District Festival this January.
FAMILY MATH GAME NIGHT AT CHESTER: Teachers and staff at Chester Elementary invited parents and students from kindergarten through 2nd grade to learn more how math is taught in schools today, and play some math games! Guest speaker Mike Flynn (former MA Teacher of the Year) discussed how math teaching methods today might differ from what folks remember in the past.
HELPFUL HEALTH INFO FROM THE CDC: As we move through flu season, it's important to stay up on the best ways to protect yourself and your family from the flu. There are some helpful tips here from the CDC website. There's also an update available here from the Mass Dept of Public Health on some guidance around the coronavirus.
KEY COMMUNICATORS: Periodically throughout the school year, there are topics that affect our school and our community that may require some additional explanation and public discussion, whether through school committee, town events, or Gateway's Communications Committee. This first Key Communicators dispatch explains the process of updating the district's regional agreement.
SEND US YOUR PHOTOS!: Students, staff, parents and community members now have a place to send their favorite Gateway photos, for distribution to the public. Please email photos that you capture at sporting events, field trips, plays, concerts, classrooms and school events to email@example.com
SUPPORT GEF: Remember the Gateway Education Foundation in your year-end giving to get a potential tax deduction. GEF supports all kinds of great educational and extra-curricular programming that enriches the Gateway experience for students and our community.

WONDROUS WEBLINK: The Gateway school-based Health Center, operated and supported by the Hilltown Community Health Center offers students a wide variety of health services including dental, optometry, nutrition, and mental health counseling.
